AI, not a human coach

Talk to a human coach

The agreement between us

These terms apply when you use Starbuck Coach. Please read them. By starting a session you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

1. Who we are

Starbuck & Associates Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 12735123, registered office Northgate House, Northgate, Sleaford, NG34 7BZ. You can reach us through our contact form at starbuckassociates.com/contact. In these terms, we and us mean that company, and you means the person using the service.

2. What we provide

Access to an AI coaching tool, free of charge, offered as a development aid alongside human coaching and not instead of it. It is a pilot service. We may change it, suspend it or withdraw it at any time, and we do not promise it will be available when you want it.

3. It is not advice, and this is not just a form of words

Starbuck Coach does not give professional advice of any kind. It is not medical, psychological, legal, financial or employment advice, and it is not a diagnosis or a treatment. It is a tool for your own reflection.

Its replies are generated by a language model and can be wrong. Before you act on anything it says, check it with a person qualified to answer. Where the question is a professional one, that means a professional.

It is not therapy and it is not a mental health service. It does not treat, cure or relieve any medical or psychological condition, and we make no claim that it does. If you are struggling, the numbers in the “This is an AI” section are there for exactly that, and a human coach is available through the button at the top of every page.

4. Who can use it

You must be 18 or over, and you will be asked to confirm that before a session starts.

If your access came with a code, it was given to you or to a defined group, and it is for that person or group only.

5. How you may use it

  • Use it for your own reflection and development.
  • Do not use it to do anything unlawful, to harass anybody, or to try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service.
  • If your access came with a code, do not share it beyond the people it was given to.
  • Do not present anything it produces as professional advice, or as the work of a Starbuck coach.

If you break these we may stop you using the service.

6. Your content

What you write stays yours. We do not store it, so we acquire no rights in it. Everything else on this site, including the design, the wording, the coaching design and the Starbuck name and star device, belongs to us or to our licensors, and you may not copy or reuse it beyond your own personal use of the service.

7. Your summary

You can save your summary to your own device as a PDF. It is built by the page in your browser and it sends us nothing, which also means we cannot recover it for you if you lose it. We do not offer summaries by email and we do not ask for your email address.

8. Our responsibility to you

This section is important, so we have written it plainly rather than in the usual way.

What we never limit. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. Personal injury includes recognised psychiatric injury.

If you are a consumer. That means you are using this outside your business. We give you this service free of charge, and nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer. If the service is not provided with reasonable care and skill, your legal rights are unaffected by anything here. You are free to obtain a paid coaching service from us or from anybody else instead.

What we are not responsible for either way. The decisions you take after using this service are yours. We are not responsible for the consequences of a course of action you choose, or for anything you did or did not do because of something the coach said, where you could reasonably have checked it with a qualified person first. Nor are we responsible for the availability of the service, or for the internet, your device or your browser.

9. Complaints

If something has gone wrong, tell us through starbuckassociates.com/contact. We will acknowledge you within five working days and respond properly within twenty. If your complaint concerns the conduct of one of our human coaches, our coaches are bound by the ICF Code of Ethics and you may also raise it with the International Coaching Federation.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version and date at the foot of this panel tell you which one you are reading. Where a change materially affects you we will show a notice on this site for at least 30 days.

11. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may bring proceedings in your own country's courts, and nothing here removes the protection of the law of the country you live in. Otherwise the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

Version 1.2, last updated 27 August 2026. We review this page whenever the service or the way information is processed changes. If a change materially affects you, we will update this version number and date.
