AI, not a human coach

Talk to a human coach

Between your sessions

Accelerate your thinking, whenever it needs it.

An AI thinking partner designed for the space between human coaching sessions. It asks rather than tells, helps you examine your reasoning, and holds you to the next step you choose.

See how a session works Talk to a human coach

You are talking to AI, not a human coach. What you type goes to the AI provider that answers it, and nothing you write is stored on our servers. A session takes about twenty minutes and you can stop whenever you like. What the provider keeps, and for how long, is set out in the privacy notice.

How a session works

Four stages, in order. You do not have to remember them, because the page tells you where you are and what happens next. Most sessions take fifteen to twenty five minutes.

Say what you want

You bring one thing. The tool helps you turn it into something you could actually finish thinking about today.

"I keep going round in circles on whether to apply for the director role."

Think it through

The longest part. Short questions, one at a time. It will pick up on your own words and push back when your reasoning does not hold.

"You said you should probably go for it. What is the should made of?"

Decide one step

You choose it, not the tool. It gets written down in the form that research says people actually keep: when this happens, I will do that.

"When I open my laptop on Thursday, I will write the two reasons I want it."

Take it away

You say what you are taking from it. Then download your notes, or copy them, and close the tab.

The notes are yours, and you choose what to do with them.

How this tool is designed, and what has been tested

Who this is for

Use it when you have one work or personal-development question that would benefit from focused reflection. You do not need to prepare anything, and you remain in control of what you write and what you do next.

A good use of it

  • One question you keep circling, between conversations with your coach.
  • A decision where you already have the information and need to hear your own reasoning out loud.
  • A conversation you have been avoiding and want to think through first.
  • Twenty minutes at eleven at night, when a human coach is not available.

What it is not for

It is not therapy, crisis support, performance assessment, medical advice, legal advice, financial advice or employment-law advice. It does not make decisions about you.

Straight about what this is

What it does

  • Asks you questions, one at a time, drawing on the ICF Core Competencies our coaches train against.
  • Takes any question you want to bring, about work or about yourself.
  • Offers structure or options if you ask for them, then hands the thinking back to you.
  • Disagrees with you when your reasoning does not hold up.
  • Can be left at any time for a conversation with a person.

What it does not do

  • It is AI, not a person. Nobody is reading your conversation as it happens.
  • It is not a qualified or accredited coach, and it is not a substitute for coaching with one of ours.
  • It is not therapy and it is not a professional-advice service of any kind.
  • It can misunderstand you and it can be wrong. Check anything that matters with a qualified person.
  • It does not make performance or employment decisions about you.
  • It does not automatically report a session to your employer or to your human coach.

Your session

Please do not type passwords, security codes, card or bank details, or identifying information about other people. You do not need to give your name to use this.

Before you start

Four things to read, then two boxes to tick.

  1. You are talking to AI, not a human coach. It is software. It has no qualifications, no accreditation and no experience. Its design draws on the ICF Core Competencies that our coaches train against, and it is not itself accredited, certified or endorsed by any coaching body.
  2. Nobody is reading this in real time. There is no alert, no dashboard and no person on the other end. Nothing you write is shown to your employer or to your human coach unless you choose to share it yourself.
  3. It is coaching, not therapy. It will not diagnose anything and it will not give you medical, legal, financial or employment-law advice. If something serious comes up it will stop and point you to people who can help.
  4. A human coach is always available. Use the button at the top of the page whenever you want one, during a session or instead of one.

You do not have to tick the second box. If you would rather not, close this and talk to a human coach instead. Nothing is lost by declining.

Starting a session also means you accept our terms of use and have read how your data is handled. Both open in a new tab so you do not lose this page.

Tick both boxes above to enable the start button.

How to use this

Just type

Answer the question in front of you in your own words. A sentence is fine. There is nothing to learn and no commands to remember. Every action on this page is a button you can see.

Where you are

The four boxes along the top show the stages of a session. The one with the gold line is where you are now, and the line underneath it tells you what is happening.

You are in charge of the pace

If you have thought about it enough and want to get to a decision, press Move to wrapping up. If you want to end the session and get your summary, press Finish and get my summary. If it has gone off track, press Start again. To leave and clear everything this page has kept on your device, press End and delete this session.

Ask it anything

You do not have to bring a neat coaching topic. Ask it a straight question, think out loud, or say you do not know where to start. It will work with whatever you give it.

What not to type

Do not type passwords, security codes, card or bank details, or anything identifying about another person. You do not need to give your name, and the tool will not ask for it.

Your notes

The two boxes on the right are yours. Fill them in as you go. When you are done you can copy them, or download them to keep. The summary is built by this page on your own device.

Download my summary

Here is exactly what will be in the summary. Edit it however you like, add anything you want to remember, and delete anything you do not. There is no length limit. Anything you end with a colon becomes a heading.

Format

The PDF is built by this page in your browser and saved to this device. It is generated without a tagged structure, so a screen reader will read it as unstructured text. If you use assistive technology, choose plain text.

If you are on a shared or work computer, remember the file stays in your Downloads folder until you move or delete it.

What is this about?

Your session will not be attached. If you copy any part of it into the form, that information will be processed under the Starbuck & Associates contact privacy notice.

The form opens in a new tab. Nothing from this page is added to it: no messages, no notes, no summary, no identifier.
