Accessibility
We want this to work for everybody who wants to use it, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard alone, or a magnified screen.
What we have done
- Every action on this site is a visible, labelled button. There are no hidden keyboard shortcuts you have to know about, and nothing is triggered by a key combination.
- Everything can be reached and operated with the keyboard alone, in a sensible order, and whatever is focused has a clear outline you can see.
- Text and background colours meet or exceed the WCAG 2.2 AA contrast requirement.
- Text resizes when you zoom, and the layout reflows down to a narrow phone screen without anything being cut off.
- The coach's replies are announced to screen readers as they arrive.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, we do not animate anything.
- No part of the service requires you to hear anything, to use a mouse, or to react within a time limit.
Where we know we fall short
We are aiming at WCAG 2.2 level AA. We have not yet had this service independently audited, and we have not yet tested it with every combination of screen reader and browser.
Tell us if something does not work
If any part of this service is difficult or impossible for you to use, tell us through starbuckassociates.com/contact. We will acknowledge within five working days, tell you what we can do and by when, and where we cannot fix something quickly we will offer another way to get the same result.
